VET program

One of our school’s great strengths is the diverse pathways it provides. It’s why you’ll find some of our students excelling in school-based apprenticeships or traineeships and others completing a qualification to get them workplace ready.

Our Vocational Education Training (VET) program provides students in Years 10 to 12 the opportunity to build practical, professional and real-world skills while at school.

In Year 10, students – as part of their elective subject selection – can choose to commence a certificate course in hospitality or furnishing. For those with a keen interest in agriculture, SCOTS PGC also offers Agricultural Studies as an elective with students able to commence a formal certificate course in Year 11.

In Year 11, students can follow a part or full-time VET pathway. Those wanting to pursue tertiary entrance can complete one Certificate III or one applied subject.

Making pathways possible

At SCOTS PGC, we’re not about encouraging one pathway over another. We’re about making pathways possible. Young old boy, Justin Rohde is a great example of how hard work and following your passion can lead to landing your dream job. Here we share his story.
