Tailored ‘preparedness’ program

Work Prep

Designed and developed by SCOTS PGC, in partnership with industry, Work Prep ensures our students are not only workforce-ready upon graduation, but poised to become the next generation of industry leaders.

The program includes three distinct stages with key focus areas and structured activities and initiatives for each.

Year 10

Students build a better understanding of the world of work and different industries and explore: What are my passions? What are my strengths? What skills do I need to develop to thrive?

Year 11

Students focus on their chosen area of specialisation and begin to build key competencies. They have the opportunity to participate in the workforce through school-based apprenticeships and traineeships and explore: What does it mean to be work ready? How do I contribute back to my community? What are my career goals? What does career progression look like in my industry/industries?

Year 12

Further focus is given to being work and world ready as students refine their skills, deepen their connections with industry, complete various qualifications and prepare for life beyond SCOTS PGC.
