Tonia Lassman

Head of Junior and Middle School

BEd, DipTeach

With over 30 years of experience in education, Tonia Lassman currently serves as the Head of Junior and Middle Schools at SCOTS PGC College. Her approach to education centres around a play-based Early Years curriculum that seamlessly transitions into a comprehensive exploration of pathways and interests, guiding students as they navigate their academic journey. Her expertise spans educational technology, curriculum development, and administration, where she leads strategic planning initiatives and fosters a culture of innovation and care.

Tonia began her career in the independent education sector as a teacher at Matthew Flinders Anglican College, quickly advancing to the role of Deputy Head of Primary. She later moved from the Sunshine Coast to the Gold Coast, joining St Hilda’s Anglican School. After a brief break to focus on family, she returned to education at Toowoomba Anglican School before spending 16 years at Clayfield College. During her time there, she honed her skills as a middle leader before stepping into the role of Head of Primary School.

She then served as Head of Primary at St Luke’s Anglican School in Bundaberg for six years, where she developed a deep passion for rural education. This passion ultimately led her to SCOTS PGC College, a school with a rich history and a reputation for offering outstanding and unique educational experiences.

As a leader, Tonia is dedicated to enhancing both the pastoral care and academic rigor at SCOTS PGC. She leads a committed team focused on curriculum and pedagogy review, student enrolment, and professional development.
