David heads up both our Boys’ Boarding Houses, caring and for our young men in Years 5 to Year 12. David and his wife, Jodi, live on campus, at Hawkins House, and enjoy being part of the day to day lives of our boy boarders.
David has recently stepped into the role of Acting Head of Middle School, where he brings his strong background in student wellbeing and relationship-focused education to support students through this important stage of their development. With a deep understanding of the social, emotional and academic needs of middle years learners, he is committed to fostering a positive and inclusive environment where students feel a strong sense of belonging and are encouraged to grow in confidence, independence and responsibility.
An experienced educator, David is passionate about providing a quality, caring educational environment – one that challenges and inspires boys to become the best version of themselves and make the most of the opportunities on offer. He believes this starts with fostering positive relationships and having a community-mindedness approach.

David is also the Head of Pastoral Practices, teaches HPE and has a keen interest in cricket. He is committed to ensuring all students are actively engaged in all the College has to offer and each student is cared for academically, physically, socially and emotionally.
David holds a Bachelor of Education and is a level of ABSA.
