Rural Boarding Scholarship
As a country school for country kids, the Rural Boarding Scholarship is our way of ensuring regional families can access a SCOTS PGC education, even if times are tough.
The scholarship recognises those values and characteristics synonymous with growing up with the bush – authenticity, good humour and a ‘never-give-up’ attitude.
INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS
Our Rural Boarding Scholarships are open all year round and are designed to support rural and remote students to enrol as full-time boarding students at the College.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Applicants must be new students wishing to enter the College in Years 5 to 12 as a full-time boarding student who can also demonstrate the following:
- Be from a rural background with a strong connection to the land
- A willingness to do their very best academically and participate in a range of College activities
- A track record of hard work, commitment and a ‘never give up’ attitude
- A willingness to embrace and live our College values
HOW TO APPLY
All applicants must complete a College scholarship application form and provide either a letter or short video addressed to the Principal outlining how they meet the eligibility criteria. Applicants are also required to:
- Complete an Application for Enrolment Form
- Provide NAPLAN results and a copy of your their most recent academic reports
