Emma Grave commenced as Principal of SCOTS PGC College in 2026, becoming the College’s eighth Principal and the first female Principal since the College became coeducational in 1970.

A passionate and values-driven educational leader, Emma brings more than 20 years of experience across leading independent schools in Victoria, South Australia and Queensland. She is recognised for her collaborative leadership, strategic thinking and unwavering commitment to student wellbeing, academic excellence and creating school communities where every young person is genuinely valued, supported and challenged to achieve their best.

Emma began her career as an English and Drama teacher before leading departments and boarding communities at some of Australia’s most respected schools. She served as Head of Drama at Ballarat Clarendon College before spending 15 years at Geelong Grammar School, where she was Head of Garnett House, one of the school’s girls’ boarding houses. She has since held Deputy Principal positions at Seymour College and Scotch College Adelaide, developing extensive expertise in teaching and learning, pastoral care, boarding, leadership and whole-school improvement.

She holds a Bachelor of Performing Arts, a Graduate Diploma in Education (Secondary), a Master of Education (Leadership and Management), and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Emma was awarded a Fellowship of the Australian Council for Educational Leaders (South Australia) in recognition of her significant contribution to education. She also serves as Deputy Chair of PESA, Australia’s peak organisation for wellbeing education, advocating for evidence-informed practices that enable schools and young people to flourish.
