Assistant to the Director of Girls' Boarding

Adara Segedin brings a wealth of experience and leadership to her role as Assistant to the Director of Girls’ Boarding at SCOTS PGC College. With a strong background in both state and independent education, Adara has worked across a variety of school environments, including indigenous schools in New Zealand.

Prior to joining SCOTS PGC, Adara was an Assistant House Master for Girls’ Boarding at St Paul’s Collegiate—one of New Zealand’s top 30 schools—where she played a key role in student wellbeing and pastoral care. Her commitment to youth development extends beyond the classroom, having held leadership positions in high-performance sport, including team management for the Taranaki Bulls and Whio state rugby union teams. She also serves as a board member for the New Plymouth Old Boys Rugby Club, reflecting her deep connection to community sport.

Adara’s passion for service and leadership is further demonstrated through her work in the not-for-profit sector, where she has acted as Director and Chair of Dancing for Hope, a charity dedicated to supporting mental health initiatives.

At SCOTS PGC, Adara is dedicated to creating a nurturing and empowering environment for our girls in boarding, ensuring they thrive both academically and personally.
