Swimming Success

On Wednesday 1st March, five of our JAM students represented the Southern Downs at the Darling Downs Swimming Championships held at Gatton. The Southern Downs Team did an outstanding job, coming second overall and third for the Aggregate Trophy. Michaela Hardy, Jeremy and Daniel Shepherd all swam exceptionally well throughout the day. Ellyse Kruger came in at 3rd for the 9 years girls 50m Breaststroke breaking her own PB by 5 seconds. Samuel Bourke has qualified for the 2017 Darling Downs squad, placing 3rd in 50m Freestyle and 2nd in 50m Backstroke. He also placed 1st in the 100m Breaststroke and 2nd in the 50m Breaststroke, breaking many PBs throughout the day. We would like to wish Samuel all the very best for the State Championships to be held at Chandler from 26th-28th of March.
